Welcome to Camp Habitat 2020!

Like much of our lives this year, Camp Habitat is going to look a little different. We’re shifting everything online, from seminars and workshops to vendor and sponsor networking. You’ll be able to do it all from the comfort of your home or office! We’re excited that more of you will be able to attend and access this important professional development opportunity this year, and hopeful that you’ll be patient and understanding as we all navigate this new way of doing things.

Some things are staying the same, though! You’ll learn valuable information and tools from subject experts across North Carolina and from HFHI. You will have the opportunity to meet with vendors and sponsors and discuss what they can offer you at four different networking sessions over the course of the two weeks. And the virtual platform we’re utilizing will still be reminiscent of in-person conference attendance (pick your “table”, video chat with others at your table, etc) but nobody will know if you’re still in your pajama bottoms.

Before buying tickets, take a look at our course offerings below.

You’ll have the option to buy a ticket for a single seminar or workshop session, or a ticket package, which will allow you to pick a variety of sessions over the course of the two weeks of Camp. Once you make your purchase, you’ll be directed to Sched (either directly from the confirmation page or via an email invitation), where you will select the classes you would like to attend. This is a critical step, because the rosters for those courses will get an email with the link to get into the class no later than 24 hours before the scheduled class time.

Pricing is tiered this year. You’ll see one set of prices for those affiliates who have made a contribution to sustain Habitat NC over the past year, (labeled a “Dues-Paying Affiliate“), and a slightly higher price for those affiliates who either do not pay dues or are out-of-state (“Regular Admission“). Rest assured, however, that everyone is welcome! If you have any questions about the status of your affiliate, please email Judy at judy@habitatnc.org.

The conference will be conducted via a platform called Remo. You can learn more about Remo here: https://remo.co/remo-101/. You’ll have an opportunity to get your account set up prior to your seminars. Sara will lead Remo set-up “Office Hours” in the days prior to the conference starting so that you’re ready to go on the day. Keep an eye out for an email with a link to those Office Hours the week before the conference, as well as additional information and tutorials on how to use the platform.
